populations? For data, go to the United Nations Population Division
ndSex.shtml, and also UN-Habitat at http://unhabitat.org. Are data available on rural and urban differences in rates
of natural increase? What are the long-run historical changes in the percent urban? Do urban places tend to have
relatively high or low population densities? What is the density of the rural population? Go to the website

The change between two recent dates in population in Peru has been relatively low with a
difference of about two million in the last census that was conducted. This is because the population
of the rural areas in Peru has been high since 1960 and it has increased steadily over the past 56
years. The population has increased steadily by 1.19 between 2015 and 2018 (United Nations, 2014).
In Latvia, the urban population has grown taking up more than 67% of Latvias population in the
recent years leaving only 32% of the population occupying the rural areas in Latvia. Though the
government tried to improve the conditions of the rural areas in the past six years, there is still a
noteworthy difference of -0.58 between the urban and rural areas (United Nations, 2014). The
increase in urban population resulted in a decrease of about 32% in the rural areas.
The urban areas tend to have a high population density in this areas due to the high population
found in this places. For example, Peru has a population of 25 people per sq. Kilometer while
Latvia has a population density of 31 people per square kilometer. In Peru the rural areas tend to
have a high population due to the high number of people living there, using the satellite you can see
very many houses found there thus indicating that a lot of people are living there (Peru Population).
Latvia rural areas are not as densely populated as the urban area; there are few settlements as
compared to the metropolitan regions hence they are not densely populated (Latvia Population).
The village in our country has a relatively.low population density compared to that of Peru and
Latvia because many people migrate to urban areas in search of Jobs, better living conditions and
the spirit of adventure.

This group has not provided detailed information. They also did not provide any graph or chart to show
details. Besides, they did not talk about the Difference in RIN between Urban and Rural area. They also did
not show the long historical changes in the percent urban in terms line graph that show the pattern. So this
group lacks so many things. 5/10
