I have this Reserch paper about (Atlantic Ocean), and its 3 pages and I would like to add two more. Also, use the the resources that I have. Thanks,

Impact of Global Warming on the Atlantic Ocean
In most parts of the world, the climate depends heavily on the process of sea water
evaporation. The North Atlantic Ocean is one important example on how this process is affected
by global warming, which in return, causes dangerous weather events and climate change to
worsen. In the North Atlantic Ocean, there are two main currents; each with specific route. One
current carries warm water while the other take cold water. The two currents are the western
boundary current, and the gulf stream. These currents circulate. The circulation is called
Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC). The global warming is affecting the
Atlantic Ocean by slowing down the circulation which led to some consequence.
The Atlantic Ocean is the second largest ocean in the world, that covers 20% of the earth
surface. The Atlantic Ocean consist of northern and southern parts that occupies the region in
between the three continents Africa, Europe, and the Americas. However, the northern ocean has
a more control on the climate on other places. In addition, the global warming also affects the
North Atlantic Ocean, therefore it’s like a cycle of global warming, North Atlantic currents, and
climate. However, the global warming plays a major role on the Atlantic Ocean by bringing
warm water northward, therefore helping Europe’s climate to be warm. The global warming
could slow this circulation which led to a colder climate or weather.
3.0-The North Atlantic currents
First, global warming is slowing down the circulation by powerful warm current which is
the Gulf stream. This warm Gulf stream move northward into cooler waters, and splits into what
is known as the North Atlantic current. The stream still moves further toward latitudes until it
reach point where cold-water sinks because of its high density, and after that goes back
southward at depth, this why it’s called the overturning circulation, and this is how Europe kept
warm. However, the global warming may melt the ice in the northern part which led to a slow on
the circulation because the warm water will not return causing a cold weather in Greenland,
4.0-How the global warming impact the circulation
Second, the global warming could impact the circulation by melting of Arctic ice. This
melting may slow the movement of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation which it
was described before. Moreover, the scientists have not discovered how much the circulation has
been slowing. But now, according to the journal Nature Climate Change says that the Atlantic
circulation is about 15% to 20% weaker than normal (Kiger ,2015). This might not be a lot, but
the rate of decreasing is becoming bigger over the past 1,100 years. If the circulation slows there
will be a huge change in the climate which will let the Earth getting warmer. As a result, there
will be a strong heat waves that will threat people and plants which in some countries it counts as
an important source.
Finally, there are three main consequences of the slowdown of the circulation: increase
sea levels of the U.S East Coast, disruption of the fishing industry, and stronger storms for
Europe. If the circulation slows due to global warming, the studies says, less cold water will dive
to ocean in depths, leading to warm water staying just below the surface. Says Krasting warm
water expands and that’s the cause of the sea level rise. In addition, global warming leads to an
increase of the level of carbon dioxide that impacts many marine organisms (Climate Change
and Fish, 2015). Also, global warming may cause a huge difference between the poles which
could cause a strong and heavy storm on some part of Europe.
Finally, in conclusion, the slowing down of the circulation and the impact of the global
warming is a major issue. Every human being should be aware of this problem,
governments should knowledge people about what’s going on the Atlantic Ocean either by
teaching at school, or on media. In addition, to avoid any natural disasters that will affect our
environment, on order to save our natural sources, or the weather temperature as it is.
