The answer should be at least 2.5 pages.
The picture of the questions is attached in this word document.
I attached my previous paper and the research paper for this class in order to compare between them to
answer the question 1 in part b.
Also, I attached the reading that related to the part A questions to find the correct answer for them in
the reading or your understanding of the reading.
I am international student who speak English as a second language and here is the course description to
know the perfect answer for question 2 in part B.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: There are many things in our language that we assume are natural. Even simple
things like the pronouns he and she. But in languages like Turkish, he and she are just one word. Some
Australian languages, on the other hand, have more than two genders, not just male and female, but
also objects and vegetables! In English, when something happened in the past, we simply use the past
tense. The Matses tribe uses a different verb tenses based on whether something happened recently,
less than fifty years ago, or over fifty years ago. When we go into a friends house looking for the
bathroom, our host will tell us to go down the hall to the left. A Guugu Yimithirr, however, will tell his or
her guest to go north. And get this: The guest will know which way north is! Learning about differences
like these makes us wonder if our differences go beyond the words we use. Do some people not just use
different words than we do, but actually see the world differently? Questions such as these have kept
linguists, anthropologists, historians, scientists, and many other scholars busy for centuries. In this class,
we will discuss what theyve found out so far, or at least what they think they have, and what questions
remain to be explored.
