Immigration ban argument essay
Did you know that the annual record of immigrants into the United States is at 1 million
and above people per year? In the history of America since the 15th century, immigration has
always had a big impact on the social, economic and political stability. The immigrants have
always had an important role in the United States. They have brought labor and diversity in the
businesses. The immigration facilitated the major industrialization and urbanization in the United
States in the 1910-1930s (Friedman & Schwartz, 2008). The combination of ideas, exchange of
cultures and sharing different viewpoints brought the creativity of innovation and development
that made United States experience enormous technological growth throughout the years. The
immigrants have always given their best with a conquest of having a financial breakthrough.
However, despite all these impacts, the immigrants have always been treated harshly and have
never been fully accepted in the United States. To worsen the situation after being elected,
President Donald Trump ban immigration after using it to win the elections. The message was
received with a lot of critic by firms like Google Inc. and the 21srt Century Fox.
What made President Donald Trump succeed in his election was the fact that when he
was elected, he would have built a wall in the Mexican Border to prevent immigration. After he
was elected, he went and put a forward that would see immigration banned in the country with
the aim of making America great again. To be specific, he banned the traveler from Muslim
countries (Felter & Renwick, 2018). The reaction of the government was divided. Some of the
states in America were for the proposal while others felt that it was not necessary because it was
some discrimination. Apart from that, there have been organizations like the Google Inc.
Company and 21st-century fox that has reacted vigorously to oppose the ban.
The Google Company is a multinational company that has a diverse number of
employees from many nations. It is one of the Companies in the United States that have a lot of

different employees. To start with, their CEO is an immigrant from India. There was even a
protest by the Google Company that was against the immigration Ban. Apart from that, the CEO
of the Company assured the employees that they were going to do everything, so their employees
would not be affected by the ban (Groth, & Griswold, 2017). Also, that the 21st-century fox
company opposed the ban in a similar way. There were company deals with multimedia at the
multinational level, and the first thing that it honors is the diversity of employment which can
only be achieved through immigration of people from different backgrounds. The company also
assured its employees it would do everything within its power to make sure they are not affected
by a memo by their CEO (Business Insider, 2017).
Maybe President Donald Trump had a concrete reason as to why he chose to ban
immigration on several nations. Maybe it was positive, and it was for a greater course for the
United States. However, in the greater picture, was it justifiable? The reason that Trump gave
was that the Muslim related nations had encouraged terrorism in the country putting the country
at a security risk (Felter, & Renwick, 2018). The claim is not invalid because the United States
was faced with one of the greatest terror attacks that left more than hundred people dead while
others were injured. Immigrants initiated the attack. However, since then, the United States has
implemented measures that have ensured that they cannot experience any terror attack. Since
then, there have been minor incidences of terrorism. The role of the government is to ensure that
everybody feels safe. All citizens want to be assured of safety all times that allows them to have
freedom. A fact is that immigration is one of the largest contributors to the issue.
However, on the other side even in the attacks was done by immigrants let’s look at the
number of people that initiate the attack. In almost all the attacks less than ten individuals, in
most incidences two or three are people that are engaged in this terrorist activities. Comparing

this with the millions of immigrants in the United States, it would make up to a ratio of 1 to more
than 10,000 individual who is capable of being terrorist. How would it be fair or rational to
deport more than ten thousand people, who have nothing to do with terrorism? Most of them
probably do not know even how to hold a gun. Every day, people see the war that is going on in
countries like Syria many innocent people being killed and slaughtered mercilessly (Taub, 2015).
Recently, there was a baby about eight years old found near the border of Turkey and Syria. He
was alone, and people later learned that his parents had been killed. The boy was traumatized by
the events and had not eaten for several days. It was a miracle that he had survived. Now imagine
the boy growing up under the United States doing all he can to have a financial breakthrough at
one point. He gets an education and later secures a job that makes him stable. He is an illegal
immigrant, but the boy hates the war because he understands and knows what war can cause.
How can it be fair that the wrongdoing of few individuals impacts the lives of thousands
of others? Most of these immigrants fled their countries to come to the precious and welcoming
of the United States. They have experienced the war and know how it is difficult and have
devastating effects (Coyle, 2017). A country which was regarded great because of its welcoming
nature is now turning out to be a place full of discrimination where no efforts are being
appreciated. Imagine yourself being that boy, you have grown up, and now after everything, the
government do not want you. If deported, how would one start his life again? How can it be fair
to pass the immigration ban to people who have become part of the American society? People
that have shared their ideas and helped contribution of different inventions. There are also of
immigrants who have dedicated their lives to serve and protect America in the army, will the
government deport them too?
Immigration ban argument essay
The United States is a country that has always been admired, and people love it because
they believe it is where salvation is found. Some of whom have grown love, and would eve die
for the sake of the country. How will America be great again if the means is by chasing the same
people who have taken part in building the economy of the country? How can it be great again if
it deports innocent people who have no history nor do not know how to handle guns to countries
where war is the way of life? Imagine the President himself having to undergo this process
(Coyle, 2017). Would he ever think of doing something like that? Therefore, it is the role of
every one of the American Citizen to stand firm and oppose the immigration ban. The people
who are being deported are our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, colleagues and some have
relationships and married. If all Americans chose to oppose the immigration ban, it would make
the President change his mind on the ban. Let everyone do justice and make sure that the welfare
of all the American whether immigrants or not feel welcomed and safe in the Country. It is the
only way to move forward for all Americans.
