For the Final Project, you will create an ePortfolio using Portfolium that demonstrates
your competency of the Honors College program learning outcomes, which are listed
below. This may include current and/or prior coursework in the Honors College program
and your major area of study. Additionally, you will write a narrative reflection that
encompasses your educational journey, specifically with regard to the Honors College
program. Both components should showcase your learning in a consolidated, webbased format that can be easily shared with anyone: current or potential employers,
colleagues, friends, family members, and others.
The Honors College Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) are listed below:
Evaluate the impact of various forms of civic engagement.
Interpret current global issues through multiple perspectives.
Utilize innovative approaches and informed decision-making when solving problems.
Apply leadership and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
Your Final Project will consist of two parts:
Organization/ThemeYour ePortfolio should be a coherent, cohesive synthesis of
your work, past and present. As you are bringing it all together, choose pieces that
not only demonstrate the relevant PLOs, but also work in concert to highlight a
central theme of your educational journey that you would like to portray to those
viewing this work. Organize your ePortfolio around this theme. Your ePortfolio
should have an introduction and conclusion.
Components: Include at least one artifact demonstrating mastery for each of the four
PLOs. These artifacts can come from this course, previous courses in your Honors
College program, and/or your major area of study at Ashford University. Clearly
identify the PLO each artifact demonstrates by using appropriate headings. (For
example, for PLO 1, the heading might read, “Civic Engagement.”) Then, provide a
summary which describes the artifact and justifies its inclusion, explaining how the
work you are highlighting demonstrates mastery of each PLO.
Design: Your ePortfolio should have a professional appearance. It should be visually
appealing and organized in a logical manner. Showcase your creativity.

In a five- to six-page paper,
Provide a link to your ePortfolio.
Summarize the specific artifacts you submitted in the Portfolio, as well as a more
general discussion of the value of your experiences in the Honors College program.
Create a list in which you arrange the four PLOs in the order of importance to you,
personally and/or professionally.
In approximately one page for each PLO,
o Provide a brief explanation of the PLO, using your own academic voice.
o Provide a rationale for your ranking of the PLO, which should include an
explanation of the specific relevance of the PLO to your personal and/or
professional life.
o Provide a discussion of how you currently demonstrate the PLO in your personal
and/or professional life. (If you do not currently apply a particular PLO, discuss
ways in which you might begin to implement this learning outcome in your life.)
In one to two pages, use explicit examples to
o Illustrate how do your PLO rankings reflect and/or relate to your strengths and
o Illustrate how might you sharpen your skills.
o Illustrate how might you capitalize on the positive qualities you already have.
