Objective: To learn the steps in the process of wastewater treatment.
Introduction: The water that leaves your house by way of the kitchen, laundry room, and
bathroom is called sewage. Before it is reintroduced to the environment, it must undergo
intense treatment to remove the solids, nutrients, and dangerous microbes. This week, you will
take a virtual field trip to a local wastewater treatment plant.
Method: Visit the following Youtube playlist. The virtual trip is broken up into seven parts. I
suggest you read through the questions first, then watch the videos.
