How many times do we get to know managers who treat their role as a status rather than a role
full of content and responsibility? A manager must understand that management is a role and
not a status.
Most of the time employees leave organizations because of their managers. When you are a
good manager, the chances are that your employees will remain loyal and follow you very high
even if the organizational environment is less suitable for them.
In order for an manager to be able to make the most of his employees in fulfilling their tasks, he
must first be a leader, charismatic, influential, sensitive, motivated to act and able to harness
A manager is being a leader, a few examples of leadership rolls that might help
the employees and co workers see the Risk as worthy of constant attention
1. Personal example and role model
The first and most significant thing in leading employees is the ability to be a role model for
them. A personal example is the strongest force in changing perceptions of behavior among
employees. When a manager expects his employees to meet certain standards of conduct, it is
important that he also adheres to the same standards.
2. Maximizing the ability of employees over time
Every manager wants to make his employees work and not just get to work. There are a lot
of theories to motivate an employee and maximize his abilities, but in my opinion the
optimal and correct is the theory of setting goals.
3. Optimism, caring and good mood Optimism, caring and good humor improve employee
performance and business results.
A manager who creates a good, positive, solidarity and caring atmosphere around him will
create a high morale in the organization. Alongside this, concern for team work, mutual
help and cooperation will help create a high motivation for fulfilling the job in the best
sense, out of a sense of belonging and commitment.
4. Time management – to lead and not get carried away by the daily hardships and extinguish
One of the biggest problems facing a manager is managing the right time in a multi-task
environment and a tight schedule. Managers who do not know how to manage their time
correctly may find themselves drowning under the burden of tasks, and before they feel tasks
and tasks may fall into their seats.
5. Create internal motivation and challenge for veteran employees
The dream of every manager is to establish an experienced, and professional staff. The
manager’s ability to maintain such a team over the years increases the productivity of the
business and generates great loyalty. One of the reasons why employees leave the
workplace stems from the fact that they feel they are stuck somewhere. So how do you
create internal motivation and challenge for veteran employees, and keep them in the
workplace for years.

considering the position that Flotilla Cassandra is in, I believe that her concern is
legitimate and other individuals in the organization need to be keen on the risks that the
hospital is facing. Cassandra is the risk manager of Mercy Hospital which means that her task is
to identify any risk that the company may be facing and then reports it to the top management
who can adopt measures to mitigate this risk. Therefore, her concern is indeed legitimate since
as the risk manager of the hospital, she has been able to identify a risk that the hospital is
facing. Since no one in the administration is taking keen of her discovery, I believe that is the
main reason why she is concerned and worried.
Most organizations usually fail to mitigate or curb any risks that they may face, not
because they did not identify the risk, but because they lack accountability for risk decisions
and lack a good risk decision-making structure (Hopkin, 2017). Therefore, I believe that Without
Mercy Hospital has a poor risk decision-making structure which has led to Cassandra to have a
lot of concerns. This is because they have failed to be accountable for the risks that the
organization faces. As the risk manager, Cassandra has identified the risk that the hospital faces
and presented it to the management. However, the management has not paid attention to this
risk which may result in a big loss for the country.

implementing effective risk management. Kogan Page Publishers.
