The phenomenon of crime has never ceased from ancient times. These criminals
are often the result of a momentary impulse that leads to lifelong regret. The
phenomenon of crime is extremely bad for society, which will cause the public to panic
and break the social order. In the end, it is necessary to make up for the harm of the
victim’s family through the time and means of punishment. They will face the indirect
pain of penal punishment, bury their own future, and lose the regret of youth. For
example, kidnapping is often used for money or other conditions or purposes. This is
not only a serious economic loss to the victims and their families, but also to the lives
of the victims. Kidnapping is a terrible crime.
The works included in this anthology: â??The Lindbergh Babyâ?, â??Frank Sinatra, Jr.,
Kidnappingâ?, â??Patty Hearst Kidnappingâ? These essays provide me with good
information, which enables us to further analyze the impact of the kidnapping on the
victim’s spiritual economy and life. All three cases have the same element: kidnapping,
but each has its own different aspects. In each article, the victim is forcibly removed,
and the offender raises certain conditions for the victim’s relatives or achieves a certain
purpose. In some cases, the victim will be brutally murdered by the criminal. In
Lindbergh’s kidnapping, the victim was a baby who had been brutally killed by the
victim while the victim’s family met the conditions and purpose of the criminal. In some
cases, the victim will be brutally murdered by the criminal. In Lindbergh’s kidnapping,
the victim was a baby who had been brutally killed by the victim while the victim’s
family met the conditions and purpose of the criminal. In another case, the victim was
completely different. In the Patty Hearst abduction, the victim was eventually
brainwashed, causing the victim to become one of the criminals. In these three articles,
each have their different criminal motive, have a plenty of for their own benefit, have
a plenty of let through the victim’s special identity to help you achieve a certain purpose.
But they have achieved their own purpose through this kind of crime, which is a great
threat to the public security, and a great challenge to the personal safety of the people.
Through this anthology, we can make a clearer analysis of the motive of the kidnapping
On this day in 1932, in a crime that captured the attention of the entire
nation, Charles Lindbergh III, the 20-month-old son of aviation hero Charles
Lindbergh, is kidnapped from the familyâ??s new mansion in Hopewell, New Jersey.
Lindbergh, who became an international celebrity when he flew the first solo flight
across the Atlantic Ocean in 1927, and his wife Anne discovered a ransom note
demanding $50,000 in their sonâ??s empty room. The kidnapper used a ladder to
climb up to the open second-floor window and left muddy footprints in the room.
The Lindberghs were inundated by offers of assistance and false clues. Even Al
Capone offered his help from prison. For three days, investigators found nothing
and there was no further word from the kidnappers. Then, a new letter showed
up, this time demanding $70,000.
The kidnappers eventually gave instructions for dropping off the money and when
it was delivered, the Lindberghs were told their baby was on a boat called Nelly
off the coast of Massachusetts. After an exhaustive search, however, there was no
sign of either the boat or the child. Soon after, the babyâ??s body was discovered
near the Lindbergh mansion. He had been killed the night of the kidnapping and
was found less than a mile from home. The heartbroken Lindberghs ended up
donating the mansion to charity and moved away.
The kidnapping looked like it would go unsolved until September 1934, when a
marked bill from the ransom turned up. The gas station attendant who had
accepted the bill wrote down the license plate number because he was suspicious
of the driver. It was tracked back to a German immigrant and carpenter, Bruno
Hauptmann. When his home was searched, detectives found a chunk of Lindbergh
Hauptmann claimed that a friend had given him the money to hold and that he
had no connection to the crime. The resulting trial was a national sensation. The
prosecutionâ??s case was not particularly strong; the main evidence, besides the
money, was testimony from handwriting experts that the ransom note had been
written by Hauptmann. The prosecution also tried to establish a connection
between Hauptmann and the type of wood that was used to make the ladder.
This work reflects the motive of the crime, and the criminals repeatedly send
ransom to the families of the victims and threaten the victims’ families with the lives of
the victims. In the end, the victim was brutally murdered. The suspect was a carpenter
from German immigration. Can see from the sedate, criminal motive is obvious,
because no going back and forth between criminals and victims’ families, criminals
have been asked to pay the ransom, so the issue of abduction was for the sake of money.
Since the criminal is a carpenter, it can be seen that people with low levels of education
culture and low social status are less likely to be kidnapped.
On February 4, 1974, Patricia Campbell Hearst, heiress to the greatest newspaper
fortune in the land, was kidnapped from her home in Berkeley, California, by a
little-known revolutionary cell called the Symbionese Liberation Army.
Within weeks, she stunned the world by announcing that she had joined forces
with her captors and was seen wielding a machine gun as the group robbed a bank
in San Francisco.
Following a bumbling manhunt by the FBI, six members of the SLA were cornered
and then killed in a shootout in Los Angeles. Hearst was elsewhere at the time and
spent the next year and a half on the run from the authorities. Once she was
captured, Hearst was placed on trial, defended by the legendary F. Lee Bailey, and
ultimately convicted for the armed bank robbery.
In this article, the victim and Lindbergh baby are the victims of a very different
outcome. Patty Hearst was kidnapped by a criminal organization called the SLA, which
requires the families of the victims to give the poor $6 million worth of food. Two
months after the incident, Patty Hearst announced she was joining the SLA and became
a member of the criminal syndicate. Patty Hearst was arrested in a bank robbery later.
The SLA is a mix of men, women, blacks and whites, anarchists and extremists from
all walks of life. It can be seen that people with low social status are more likely to
participate in criminal organizations. In this case, the protagonist is brainwashed into
the so-called ‘righteous’ group. In this case, the offender asked the victim’s family to
give $6 million to the poor, and it was clear that the abduction was intended to achieve
a certain purpose by holding the victim hostage.
For several weeks, two 23-year-old former high school classmates from Los
Angelesâ??Barry Keenan and Joe Amslerâ??had been following a 19-year-old singer
from city to city, waiting to make their move. Their target: none other than Frank
Sinatra, Jr., son of one of the most famous singers in the world, â??Old Blue Eyesâ?
himself. Their plan was bold but simpleâ?¦snatch the young Sinatra and demand a
hefty ransom from his wealthy father.
The motive was clear, and the victims’ families were asked to pay a ransom. This
time the case is different from Lindbergh baby’s case, where the offender is released
after receiving a ransom. The criminal did not directly endanger the victim.
Through these three works, it is concluded that the general vulnerable groups are
more likely to be victims in the kidnapping cases, such as infants and women. And the
victims’ families are generally more prominent and have some economic strength.
Criminals tend to be a group of people who suffer from education, low social status,
and economic insecurity.
