The consumer electronics industry is growing at an immense rate all over the world.
Importantly, the market for household appliances is expanding, and the increasing technological
enhancement is creating more room for consumers to have more disposable income allowing
them to buy more products. In this modern time, people are migrating from the old traditional
homes to smart homes which are filled with gadgets that make work and life more manageable
(Brears, 2018). Therefore, my event planning business will aim to exhibit new and modern
consumer electronics in trade shows. My paper will go forth to illuminate on the needs and steps
that should be taken to achieve this target.
The target will deserve I go through specific steps the first being cultivating a unique set
of skills that will enable me to have a particular personality. I should be outgoing, social and be
creative to handle shifting demands of the business. The second step is attaining certification for
the company. In this stage, I will be required to liaise with the relevant government officials that
will enable me to receive the necessary licenses to start and operate my business. The third step
and probably the most important of them all is deliberating on my target market (Pine &
Gilmore, 2011). It is essential to know which kind of people I will aim to attract to my trade
shows to enable me to sell my products. In this case, I will be targeting individuals between the
age of 22 and above who are currently working and have the desire of having excellent machines
in their homes.
The fourth step is developing a capable and well-detailed business plan that will enable
me to center my thoughts and articulate my ideas logically and sequentially. A good business
plan is half the success of an enterprise since it may help to secure funding and guide me through
the stages. The fifth step for the business is covering any and all legal requirement required by
the state and any other state that I would like my business to operate in. The legalities include
licenses and insurance for the co-workers and staff and general liability claims. The sixth step is
obtaining funding for the industry. It is important to remember that the business plan created at
the initial stages of the procedure acts as a proposal which I can use to approach funders and
investors that may include financial institutions and well-wishers. The project will help to
improve the trust and make them more willing to accept supporting the business. Since the
company may be small at first it more me prudent to start with people you know and then move
up the borrowing ladder.
The seventh step and the second most crucial stage is developing a resource network that
includes a list of caterers, entertainers, technical experts, manufacturers, suppliers, and marketing
experts. Furthermore, it is essential to know the best consumer electronics companies and aim to
help them find a middle ground that will enable you and them to reach a satisfactory objective.
The eighth step is to start marketing, after consolidating the necessary funds the next stage is to
begin to find ways through which you can get the business into the public’s eye and make them
know what you do and make them interested (Allen, 2004). The final stage is finding the first
client and retaining them and from there move steadily and wisely to ensure you can set up the
events periodically and make sure you can have the best products.
