Apple Company analysis 2
Introduction and analysis
This Apple case study is meant to present diverse issues relating to the existence of the company
particularly its operations. For example, the organizational culture of Apple has both mission and
vision. This indicates that it has a very wide path for growth in future. In addition, this shows
that the organization has got great ambitions for future aspirations which make its plans for
capital expansion possible. The basic aspect of any organization lies in its structure. The
existence of a clear mission and vision in a company ensure that it does not have a blank mark
due to its nature. Due to the fact that Apple is not franchised company, this shows that its
likelihood of quality control which will bring good impacts to the organization at the end. The
other effect of this is that both reputation and profit scale of the organization will improve. This
case, this situation to continue requires that there should be solidification of the organizational
culture because of the established vision and mission statement.
Being a global electronic dealer in the world, there are several fragmentations that accrue to the
organization in relation to the adopted small operators. In relation to this, there is need to call for
continued innovative services for the organization to achieve a competitive advantage. This will
in return enhance its critical experience. Despite this situation, the organization has however
made milestones when it comes to ensuring that there are security protocols that have been
instituted in relation to the unlocking of room doors and in accessing the account from mobile
services. However, the company needs to put more efforts in ensuring that the adopted policies
have been adopted. This will in return ensure the establishment of a competitive edge. There is
also a need to come up with strategies that will see minimum wage earners being under massive
tips from the company so as to equalize their eagle earnings. This will be a good basement upon
which sustainability can be pegged on.

There is also a need to undertake a financial review for this entire process especially on the need
to have financial performance, acquisitions, mergers and growth plans. However, Apple
Company has been recording a plummeting degree of its revenue. There are areas however that
recorded a dismal performance. In line with this situation, there is a need to conduct a
comprehensive analysis to enhance maximization of its available resources. Basically, external
factors like economic, political, ethical and cultural have an effect on the financial performance
of the company. This means there is need to focus on the exchange rate and the currency values.
Apple Mission Statement
â??Apple designs Macs, the best personal computers in the world, along with OS X, life, iWork
and professional software. Apple leads the digital music revolution with its iPods and iTunes
online store. Apple has reinvented the mobile phone with its revolutionary iPhone and App
store, and is defining the future of mobile media and computing devices with iPad.
The mission statement of the company is very specific when it comes to indicating what it does
and what it intends to do in future. It has also provided details about certain lines of products so
as to show its current condition. The future actions of the company have also been mentioned in
details.
Vision statement
â??We believe that we are on the face of the earth to make great products and that’s not changing.
We are constantly focusing on innovating. We believe in the simple, not the complex. We believe
that we need to own and control the primary technologies behind the products that we make and
participate only in markets where we can make a significant contribution. We believe in saying
no to thousands of projects so that we can really focus on the few that are truly important and
Apple Company analysis 4
meaningful to us. We believe in deep collaboration and cross-pollination of our groups, which
allow us to innovate in a way that others cannot. And frankly, we donâ??t settle for anything less
than excellence in every group in the company, and we have the self- honesty to admit when
weâ??re wrong and the courage to change. And I think regardless of who is in what job those
values are so embedded in this company that Apple will do extremely well.
The vision statement is detailed considerably. It is meant to reflect at the organization’s
comprehensive approach in ensuring its continued success and growth. The statement
enumerates various major points like emphasizing on innovation, which has the impact on its
innovation strategy. This vision statement also specifies simplicity of the organization. This is
very critical in how it approaches product development and design.
Objectives and strategies
Products
Continue to create products that are groundbreaking
Strategy
Having a great team building culture along with a strong research and development teams
Place
Expanding its national wide chain globally
Strategy
Placing stores in large markets and expanding outwardly on the basis of population and product
demand
Apple Company analysis 5
Price
Pricing strategically while attempting to gain a significant market share
Strategy
Pricing all products strategically at the top of market price base relying on quality and brand in
order to offset differentials in price
Promotion
Building hype and anticipating new and upcoming products
Strategy
Using annual conferences and events to release information about their new products before
hitting the market.
Recommendations
Increasing its network of distribution
Incorporating low-end market segments in its sales
Lowering of the selling prices and creation of low-end products
Apple uses exclusivity in its distribution. It carefully selects authorized sellers of its products.
This limits its market reach in as much as they have control of the product distribution
On the second and third recommendation, the market is mostly made up of middle and lowincome earners which are the majority population. Incorporating this population through
lowering of its prices or creation of products that fit their income means a larger market for
Apple bringing more revenues to the company.
