In a rapidly changing business environment, strategic planning is crucial for a company
to gain competitive advantage in the industry within which it operates. The company mission,
vision, and values are fundamental in influencing the strategic direction that the company takes
and should be incorporated throughout the entirety of the strategic planning process. Executives
in an organization should assess the shareholderâ??s needs, customer preferences and employee
issues to ensure that the strategic decisions are made to fulfil the distinct needs of various
stakeholders. To ensure that strategic objectives are achieved, it is imperative that a mission and
vision statement are formulated to be the foundation of the managementâ??s choices. For the
present project, the new division proposal for Samsung Electronics will focus primarily on
mobile repair (Suh, Derick Sohn & Yeon Kwak, 2014). The division will specialize in fixing the
companyâ??s broken mobile electronics ranging from cell phones, laptops, and tablets. Considering
Samsung has been around for a long time and has established a brand presence, the mobile repair
division will rival Apple Inc.â??s Genius Bars.
A New Product or Service for the New Company Division
Samsung Electronics is among the largest makers of smartphones and mobile electronics
in the world. However, the companyâ??s service and repair operations have lagged behind Appleâ??s,
which is the companyâ??s principal competitor. To address the situation, the present essay will

imperative that the company maintain the leading edge technology in the industry. Focusing on
